OKHALDHUNGA, May 15: A ward member of Likhu Rural Municipality-3 of Okhaldhunga district, who allegedly raped a woman of the same ward more than a month ago, was arrested by the District Police Office (DPO) on Monday.

GULMI, April 18: A 14-year-old girl of Chhatrakot rural municipality-6 in Gulmi district has been raped. Samir Miya, a.k.a. Hanuman, 45, of Tansen municipality of Palpa district raped the girl on Wednesday.
RUKUM, April 17: On November 14, the District Police Office (DPO), Rukum (West), arrested Rajip Khadka, 22, of Tribeni Rural Municipality-2, Simrutu, on the charge of raping a 17-year-old girl of the same village. Khadka is currently under judicial custody. According to the police, the accused has already confessed to the crime.
KATHMANDU, March 24: The Kanchanpur District Court has ordered former SP Dilli Raj Bista to pay Rs. 1.5 million in bail amount. Bista is one of the eight police officers who allegedly destroyed evidence of Nirmala Panta’s brutal rape and murder last year.

OKHALDHUNGA, Jan 29: A 13-year-old girl who was allegedly raped by her own father and abandoned by her mother has been suffering from cancer. After conducting tests in Kathmandu-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, it was revealed that the girl had symptoms of cancer in her right leg.

UDAYAPUR, Nov 16: Cases of violence have increased in the past 10 months in the district, according to a data released by INSEC. Of the 73 victims, 80 per cent are women, according to INSEC. It adds that rape is one of the most predominant cases and between January to October, 2018, there were 39 incidents of rape.
