Nepal, being a Hindu country, consists of numerous temples dedicated to mother goddesses. There are temples that have been known to a wide number of people and there are some which don’t quiet fall under the radar of devotees. However, all the temples in the country are the tangible heritage holding spiritual significance.

BHAKTAPUR, Jan 28: This year’s annual Nava Durga Gana dance officially began on January 15 in Bhaktapur. The festival runs for eight months and concludes on the day of Bhalbhal Astami in the Nepali month of Shrawan. The first day of the Nava Durga Gana dance was showcased at Suryamadhi, ward number 9, Bhaktapur. Nava Durga Gana dance is also known as Angalakegu, which means catching fish in Newari language. However, the dance does not include any act of fishing.
