KATHMANDU, Aug 23: An EV (microbus) en route to Pokhara from Kathmandu has met with an accident in Dhading district.  At least 15 people have been injured in the accident at the Sim Bazar along the Prithvi Highway in Galchhi Rural Municipality.

The bus (Province 3-01-005 Kha 9952), heading to Beni of Myagdi district from Kathmandu, skidded off the road and plunged into the Trishuli River killing at least eight people and injuring over a dozen others. The deceased included a child and two women, said the local people, who were voluntarily involved in rescue efforts.

DHADING, Jan 18: On Friday, it was the rice feeding ceremony of the six-month old youngest son of Binaya Lamichhane and Jamuna Regmi Lamichhane. The Lamichhane couple - locals of Thankot, Chandragiri Municipality of Kathmandu - had another son, aged two. The two children are missing after the couple attempted suicide along with them on Thursday evening by diving into the Trishuli River at Benighat area of Dhading district. While Jamuna's dead body has been recovered, Binaya was saved by the locals.
