Signing of Kathmandu-Raxaul Railway MoU postponed

KATHMANDu, August 4: With the formation of a new government, the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to study the detailed feasibility of the Kathmandu-Raxaul Railway has been stopped. The signing of the MoU has been postponed due to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s inability to appoint a new Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport.
Survey begins for Mechi-Mahakali Electric Railway

RUPANDEHI, November 13: With due consideration to minimizing infrastructural damage in Butwal Bazaar while building the East-West Electric Railway, the Department of Railways (DoRW) has begun a survey to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR).
