Damai community struggling for livelihood

ROLPA, Feb 12: They have a deep connection with music. They say that they learned it while in their 'mother's womb'. Children from poor and marginalized families of Damai community in the remote villages of Rolpa follow their traditional occupation of playing traditional musical instruments during social occasions instead of going to school.

PARBAT, Dec 22: Dissecting human bodies is not an easy job. In fact, it takes guts to cut up human organs. In the beginning, Ram Bahadur Damai of Kushma, Parbat, found it disgusting to cut up the organs of human bodies as directed by the doctors. But gradually he got used to it.
