Curfew lifted for five hours

KANCHANPUR, Aug 26: The curfew enforced in Kanchanpur since Friday night has been lifted for five hours this morning. The curfew has been removed from 5:00 am to 10 am today.

KATHMANDU, Aug 24: The 12-hour curfew imposed in Mahendranagar from Thursday evening has been lifted. The District Security Committee lifted the curfew at 6 AM today. A curfew was clamped from 5 PM yesterday.

KANCHANPUR, Aug 23: The local administration has enforced a 12-hour curfew in Mahendranagar and surrounding areas of Kanchanpur district after eight persons including six protesters and two police were injured in a clash on Thursday afternoon.

KALIKOT, Dec 24: The curfew which was lifted for two hours in the morning has once again been imposed at Kalikot, Badrinath Gaihre, chief district officer of the district said.

JHAPA, Oct 27: At least one person was killed and a score  others injured as police opened fire in Birtamod on Friday morning to disperse locals demanding a probe into the mysterious death of an 11-year old. The person killed in the police action  has been identified as Nawa Raj Thapa of Arjundhara Municipality- 11.
