KATHMANDU, July 5: A special parliamentary probe committee formed to investigate the misappropriation of cooperative funds has said that 1,150 people are involved in cooperative fraud.

POKHARA, June 5: Co-operative victims displayed black flags to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal during his visit to Pokhara. The protest occurred during PM Dahal’s address to a cadres assembly at an auditorium in Pokhara. Police intervened and arrested several of the protestors.

KATHMANDU, May, 27:  The Nepali Congress (NC)  has called a meeting of the current and former office-bearers of the party to form a solid opinion on the cooperative fraud case.

KATHMANDU, April 17: Despite the persistent demand from the main opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) for the formation of a parliamentary inquiry committee to investigate the cooperative fraud case involving Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane, the government has not initiated any legal action against the accused.
