Excavation of Siddhababa tunnel commences after 22 months of signing contract

KATHMANDU, Jan 20: After 22 months of signing the contract, the construction of the Siddhababa tunnel connecting Butwal and Palpa has commenced. The 1.126 km long Siddhababa tunnel has been under excavation since last week.
Contractor starts design work, construction of Siddhababa tunnel way to begin from next February

KATHMANDU, JULY 11: China State Engineering Construction Corporation, the contractor of the Siddhababa tunnel way on the Butwal-Palpa road section, has started the design work of the tunnel. The Chinese company won the contract on February 13, 2022 to build the tunnel in the Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) model. As per the contract agreement, the contractor company will have to prepare the design of the tunnel within nine months.
