The song “Manis Thulo Dil Le Hunxa” from Laxmi Prasad Devkota’s poem ‘Muna Madan’ is going to be developed into a song-movie.

Great poet Laxmi Prasad Devkota is fondly remembered for masterpieces like Muna Madan, Shakuntal, Prometheus and many others. On the eve of his 111th birthday (November 12),  Mahakabi Laxmi Prasad Devkota Study and Research Center had organized the two-day annual conference on Laxmi Prasad Devkota at Rajdhani College on November 9-10.

Shanti Thatal, Darjeeling-based singer presented the tunes of ‘Muna Madan’ during Paleti. The performance was held at Paleti’s regular venue, Nepalaya’s ‘r’ sala, Kalikasthan on Friday. She was joined by two singers, Bimala Century and Meena Niraula.

Darjeeling-based singer Shanti Thatal’s voice will again be reverberating on June’s edition of Paleti, Nepalaya’s micro event series. Paleti featured her on the May’s edition of the micro monthly-show, where she performed her numbers.
