Amend new Muluki codes, anti-press law: Dr. KC

KATHMANDU, Aug 24: Dr. Govinda KC has demanded that the government amend the new Muluki codes and not introduce laws which curtail the freedom of expression. Dr. KC has also urged the government to prevent the influence of mafia while granting affiliations to colleges from the Agriculture and Forestry University.

KATHMANDU, Aug 21: Lawmakers have registered an amendment proposal to the newly enacted Muluki Codes, demanding life imprisonment for the rape of a minor, an elderly woman or a physically disabled.
