Soil excavation starts for Fewa conservation

POKHARA, Jan 29: Pokhara Metropolitan City has started excavating soil from the Fewa Lake as an effort to step up the conservation of the lake. The metropolis has started excavating soil from Monday near Hallan Chowk where the Bangladi River meets the lake. The lake area had been shrinking with various seasonal streams dumping silt and soil into the lake.
