CHITWAN, April 12: Krishna Kandel of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-16, who is active in contributing labor and financial support to build an international cricket stadium near his home, became worried when the construction process stopped midway due to financial reasons. But he was happy when the government responded to take responsibility for building the stadium.

CHITWAN, April 5: The government will proceed with the stalled Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium. A Cabinet meeting on Monday decided to resume the construction of the project left halfway for want of budget.

A majority of Nepali artists are busy taking cricket coaching at the Kirtipur Cricket Stadium for the preparation of ‘Matribhumi Cup’. The cricket match will be organized to raise fund for Gautam Buddha International Stadium that is being constructed in Chitwan under the assistance of the Dhurmus-Suntali Foundation.

Actor Aliza Gautam has donated Rs 100,000 to Dhurmus-Suntali Foundation for the construction of Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium at Chitwan to mark her birthday on Monday.
