KATHMANDU, July 30: As many as 355 prisoners tested positive for COVID-19 in the prison at Bhimphedi Rural Municipality of Makwanpur district.

MAKAWANPUR, April 4: A person died when a container truck hit a motorcycle at Sanutar of Bhimphedi Rural Municipality in the district. The accident took place last night when the container truck (Na 5 Kha 8129) hit the motorcycle (Na 19 Pa 896) coming from the opposite direction.

MAKWANPUR, Dec 23: Hira Bahadur Ghalan, one among the people who carried the first motorcar to Kathmandu from Bhimphedi of Makawanpur for the then Rana rulers, passed away last night. He was 89. The first motorcar to Kathmandu was carried by people when there was no road facility.

MAKAWANPUR, Aug 22: The Kulekhani Third Hydropower Project is generating 14-MW electricity before Dashain festival that falls on early weeks of October. The project being constructed at Bhimphedi rural municipality-1, Sanotar in Makawanpur is contributing 14-MW to the national grid.

HETAUDA (Makawanpur), August 12: A woman was killed in a landslide at Bhimphedi rural municipality-8 this morning. According to district police office, Mithu Dani of the same place lost her life when a landslide buried her house.
