Delay in key infrastructures hinders utilization of completed tunnel of Bheri-Babai Project

KATHMANDU, Aug 10: In a development that highlights inefficiencies in project coordination, a 12.20 km tunnel for the Bheri-Babai Diversion Multi-Purpose Project was completed three years ago, at a cost of Rs 9.92 billion. However, the project's overall construction progress has been hindered due to the disjointed approach to various components.
Bheri-Babai project: Hydro mechanical work begins under third package

SURKHET, Dec 20: Hydro mechanical work has started under the third package of Bheri-Babai diversion multi-purpose project. An agreement has been signed with Chinese construction company Zhejiang Orient Engineering for the work related to hydro mechanical parts of the project.
