NEW YORK, Jan 24:  Pornographic deepfake images of Taylor Swift are circulating online, making the singer the most famous victim of a scourge that tech platforms and anti-abuse groups have struggled to fix.

SAN FRANCISCO, May 4: Meta on Wednesday warned that hackers are using the promise of generative artificial intelligence like ChatGPT to trick people into installing malicious code on devices.

Last year, Blake Lemoine, a Google employee, made headlines by claiming that LaMDA, a chatbot created by Google, had achieved sentience and was able to mimic reality. The news generated both excitement, but also  panic among the tech community because sci-fi movies have traditionally depicted dystopian futures in which sentient machines end up having conflict with humans. Sentient AI is no longer confined to the realm of science fiction; it is quickly becoming a reality.

If humans cannot be trusted to do what's best for them, why not pass the responsibility onto something that could - an AI? According to a recent survey conducted by IE University in Madrid, approximately 30 percent of the 25,000 people surveyed said they would be willing to be governed by AI. One of the main reasons for this line of thinking is that people have simply lost faith in their political leaders and believe that machines would be able to make better, fairer, and more rational decisions that would benefit everyone.

First and foremost, let us understand the meaning of “telehealth.” The word ‘tele’ means “distance” and ‘health’ means “to heal”. Another synonym of telemedicine by Time Magazine as “healing by wire”. Telemedicine also refers to the practice of medicine at a distance whereby information technology is used to ensure the delivery of medical care services. By using mobile phones, laptops, and computers, healthcare providers and doctors can communicate with their patients virtually and write prescriptions or follow-ups. But, at the same time, with the rise of innovative technologies and the use of AI in healthcare — healthcare businesses have taken a different shape, from traditional styles to telehealth.

The Japanese government plans to step up efforts to stem the country’s tumbling birth rate by helping to fund more sophisticated artificial intelligence matchmaking systems, media said on Monday.

The government must step up to assume the responsibility to pilot Nepal’s further transition to the robotic era. It needs to pen a national strategy pertaining to the growth of robotics and automation.
