Zero SLC pass out in 9 Sankhuwasabha schools

SANKHUWASABHA, June 15: Nine schools in Sankhuwasabha district failed to pass even a single student in the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examinations this year.



Not a single student made it through in nine public schools in the district, District Education Officer Purna Kumar Darjee said. [break]



Bhagawati Secondary School, Hangthana Secondary School, Kalika Secondary School, Yangsingjung Secondary School, Him Secondary School, Bala Secondary School, Jiban Jyoti Secondary School and Mangtewa Secondary failed to pass even a single student.



Likewise, Yamgang Secondary School, Kalika Secondary School and Himalaya Higher Secondary School also faced the same fate in the SLC result.



Similarly, the pass percentage in the SLC exams has decreased to 21.53 from last year´s 29.30 percent, the District Education Officer Darjee said.



A total of 2,099 students had taken their examinations from the district. Of them, 17 students passed with distinction, 112 in first division, 275 in second division and 48 in third division.
