The young star, born in Kathmandu itself, actually started her career from participating in the Miss Tamang 2006 pageant and winning the title. She has also been given the position of Vice President of Nepal Tamang Women’s Association. She considers it to be an honor and an opportunity to be given a responsibility of that level at her young age.
“Music isn’t my basic craze like it is to many others, but I listen to it quite a lot, especially while driving,” says Zenisha. She believes that melodious songs are her type rather than any hard Metal, Hip-Hop, or Jazz.
“I’m very choosy about music, so I don’t have many favorites,” she says laughing. She also recalls listening to live Dohori songs and ending up enjoying it.
When she had to name the two singers that are her favorites, she named Sabin Rai instantly, and thought about the second name for quite a while which turned out to be Taylor Swift. To follow her list, the next were was Miley Cyrus and Bryan Adams.
“I’ve watched a lot of Sabin Rai’s concerts, and he has that factor in him that can be very entertaining to the audience,” she says. She also mentioned that there is something she finds attractive in him that a singer should have.
Moving on to Taylor Swift, Moktan likes her songs and nothing else.
“It’s not her style or anything else I admire, it’s all about the lyrics of the songs which are worth praising,” she says directly, but also admits that she listens to Swift quite a lot.
Currently, Moktan is busy with the preparations for Miss World 2009 taking placing in Johannesburg, South Africa on December 12. According to her if she would not have won the title she would have packed her bags and left abroad for further studies.
