‘Zaika-E-Pakistan’—a Pakistani food festival kicked off on Thursday at a restaurant of Fairfield by Marriott, Kava Restaurant.
Inaugurated by Himalayan Shamsher JB Rana, president of Nepal Pakistan Friendship and Cultural Association (NPFCA), and Mazhar Javed, ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal, the inauguration ceremony had the live music from Bishwa Nepali, delectable food with Pakistan flavors and distinguished guests from various fields.

The festival showcases Pakistani delicacies prepared by chef Qamar and chef Irfan. Both chefs flew to the capital from Marriott Islamabad, Pakistan.
Chef Qamar has 16 years of rich experience in multi-cuisine and he has specialized in Pakistani, Mediterranean, Tandoori, Mughalai and Middle Eastern cuisines. Likewise, Chef Irfanbad has more than 12 years of experience in Pakistani cuisine and expertise in barbecue-style cooking.
Menu of the festival contains variations of Pakistani cuisines including Murgh biryani, Murgh Yakhani Shorba, Fish Tikka, Bhutta Ki Tikka, Subzi Biryani, MuttomKorna, Dal Lahori, Pakistani Kheer, ShahiTudka and more.
The festival is slated to continue till September 7.
