Youth leaders' Norway trip

KATHMANDU, June 11: Leaders of eight youth wings of the political parties in Nepal are leaving for a trip to Norway on Saturday.



The Norwegian Embassy said in a statement on Friday that the purpose of the visit is to enhance cooperation among the youth wings and to share experiences with Norwegian youth organizations and political parties.



The eight youth wings have developed a common National Youth Policy for Nepal. During the weeklong visit, the leaders will learn and share experiences related to consensus building, political dialogue, social welfare systems and the important role of women in politics, the statement added.



The participating youth wings are Young Communist League, Nepal Tarun Dal, Youth Federation Nepal, Progressive Youth Federation Nepal, Tarai Madhes Youth Front, Nepal Madhesi Youth Forum, and Madhesi Youth Forum (Democratic).
