KATHMANDU, Jan 6: Youth Force (YF), the CPN-UML´s militant youth wing, has staged demonstration against alleged Maoist excesses in Bidur, the district headquarters of Nuwakot, Tuesday afternoon. The demonstration was organized to protest Monday´s physical attack made by activists of Maoist Young Communist League (YCL) on YF´s village committee president Bibek Devkota at Jitpurphedi VDC, Kathmandu. The YF cadres briefly staged transport strike and held a corner meeting in Bidur, according to a Home Ministry official. The YCL cadres had chopped Devkota´s both legs. Doctors treating Devkota at TU Teaching Hospital say his right leg needs to be amputated.
