Meghraj Tiwari, 19, of Phukot-3, Kalikot died after falling off the bus (Lu 3 Kha 4789) heading to Surkhet from Kalikot at Odaltal along the Karnali Highway at around 2 p.m., police said.
Tiwari was standing by the door as the bus was overcrowded, police said.
His body has been kept at the regional hospital in Kalagaun for postmortem.
