KATHMANDU, Dec 22: Yeti Airlines has geared up preparation to operate flights from Pokhara Regional International Airport (PRIA) as Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) is set to inaugurate the airport on January 1, 2023.
In preparation for the flight, the airlines company has intensified the internal work of preparing the manpower required to fly from the new airport, providing necessary training, managing the ground equipment, and preparing the office at the new airport. According to Sudarshan Bartaula, the spokesperson of the airlines, the trainer crew is going to make a test flight with ATR-72 aircraft for the first time on Thursday at 10am.

The airline company is conducting the demonstration flight for the crew members to get used to the new airport and for the internal preparation of the airline. This kind of flight will make it easier for the crew members to get information about the status of the new airport.
Yeti airlines has been operating seven flights a day from Kathmandu to Pokhara. The airlines company is planning to increase the number of flights and also start regional flights to other airport after the international airport comes into operation.
