Shambhu Bhandari sent a letter to Federation of Nepali Journalists Jhapa chapter pledging not to engage in such activities again.
CPN-UML Jhapa has taken action against Bhandari, while FNJ Jhapa has lodged a complaint with police against him.
Bhandari had set fire on Republica and Nagarik dailies in Damak accusing the dailies of biased coverage about YAN.
