The campaign invited people to upload stylish photographs of themselves or with their friends on Yamaha bikes at Yamaha Nepal´s Facebook page, and the winners were selected based on the maximum number of likes.
"Those who liked Yamaha Nepal´s Facebook page also had the opportunity to win iPhone 5 through a lucky draw every 15 days which was held four times during the contest period," the statement added.
DHL receives global ISO certification
KATHMANDU: DHL Express has received global ISO 9001:2008 certification. According to a press statement issued by the company, the certification confirms that DHL has met the requirements of the ISO standard for its quality management system across its worldwide operations. Individual certification has been achieved in over 100 countries across the Americas, Asia Pacific and Europe. The company´s management headquarters in all three regions, as well as its operational infrastructure have been independently audited against the standards of ISO 9001:2008.
"The fact that we have now received ISO 9001:2008 certification at a global level is a testament to the uncompromising commitment to quality of our international specialists in all markets," Charlie Dobbie, executive vice president, global network operations of DHL Express said in the statement. In order to achieve ISO 9001:2008 certification, companies must demonstrate that they have implemented effective quality management systems across all areas of the business, including facilities, people, training, services and equipment, the statement added.
CNI holds meeting with Chinese delegation
KATHMANDU: Members of the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) held an interaction with a delegation of the Chinese Council for Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) in Kathmandu on Monday, laying focus on luring Chinese investment in Nepal.
The interaction dwelled on improving economic and commercial ties between China and Nepal, says a CNI statement. During the event, both sides agreed to identify investment and business opportunities in Nepal, adds the statement. "Both sides also agreed to exchange market information on economic development on a regular basis and encourage their representatives in respective countries hold meetings at regular intervals," the statement says.
Syakar opens showroom in Thapathali
KATHMANDU: Syakar Trading -- the authorized distributor of Honda four-wheelers in Nepal -- has opened a new showroom at Thapathali.
According to a press statement issued by the company, Shin Sakurai, senior staff -- customer service operation of Honda Motors, inaugurated the showroom. The showroom is initially selling popular models like Honda Brio, City and Jazz. It plans to sell Honda Amaze later on. "We are excited with the opening of new showroom as it will allow us to serve our customers easily as it is in prime location," Saurav Jyoti, chairman of the company, said in the statement.
Yamaha's Maha Exchange Mela
