Officials of MAW said Yamaha has improved certain features in the FZS as per the demand of the customers. The new variant will give 30 percent better pickup and improved mileage, according to the officials. It features a new carburetor and top mounted engine.[break]
With the new variant of FZS, MAW plans to capture 15 percent share in the 150 cc category.
“The bike was already popular in the market. We have changed certain features based on complaints and suggestions of our customers to provide them the best possible product,” said Suraj Manandhar, head of sales - Yamaha division at Morang Auto Works.
The new FZS also sports better graphics. “As far as we know, our customers are liking the changes that the bike has gone through,” said Manandhar, adding that the new variant has received warm response from customers across the country.
The new Yamaha FZS is available in four different colors -- Yellow Streak, Black Cyber Green, Golden Streak and Competition White. It has other attractive features like LCD meter console, multi-reflector headlight, tubeless tires, large diameter tires and mono cross suspension.
The new FZS is the combination of stability and safety, according to MAW officials.
With the launch of new variant, MAW has discontinued the sale of older variant which was priced at Rs 199,900. The new variant will cost Rs 214,900.
“We have noticed that new version is getting word of mouth publicity. It is a very good thing for us,” added Maharjan.
The company is also providing exchange offers on any Yamaha bikes.
