BIRATNAGAR, June 27: President of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum, Upendra Yadav has said that a durable solution of the problems facing the country was possible only if the major political parties were successful in forming a government of national consensus.

Talking to reporters here Sunday, Mr Yadav said the peace process and the Constitution drafting process would be completed in a year if a government of national consensus was formed.

Stating that his party would not join a majority Government, Mr Yadav said, "no problem can be solved by a majority government."

Referring to the two majority governments of the recent past, Mr Yadav said they have failed as they were based on a majority.

He also said that a Maoist-led gGovernment would not be possible until and unless the party left its lust for weapons.
