The company, which is an authorized dealer for the Chinese smartphone in Nepal, has opened booking for Xiaomi Mi4.Nitesh Mundra, director of Vatsal Impex, said that Xiaomi phones have been introduced in Nepal following its increasing popularity in the region. "The market of Xiaomi smartphones is expanding throughout the world and it is the number one mobile brand in China," Mundra said, adding, "We are hopeful that Xiaomi Smartphones will perform well in the Nepali market too."
He also said Xiaomi smartphones are becoming popular all over the world because they are comparatively cheaper despite having quality on par with other leading brands. "We received around 2,000 bookings on the first day of the launch," Mundra said.
The phone with 5-inch full HD IPS display runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core 2.5GHz processor. "Mi4 is built around Qualcomm's Snapdragon 801 chipset and its four 2.5GHz Krait 400 processor cores, which gives you 14 percent more computing speed," a statement issued by Vatsal Impex said.
Likewise, the phone sports a 13 MP Sony high-speed primary camera and 8 MP front camera. Similarly, it has 3GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. The Xiaomi Mi4 is powered by 3,080 mAh lithium battery.
Though the phone is priced at Rs 24,500, it is available at an introductory price of Rs 23,000 until March 21.
Xiaomi reduces price of MI 4
