KATHMANDU, May 29: The World Cup qualifier match between Nepal and the United Arab Emirates, originally set to be played at Dashrath Stadium in Kathmandu, will now take place in Saudi Arabia.
This match, part of the second round of qualifiers, is scheduled for June 6.
The change in venue follows concerns from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) about the physical infrastructure, pitch conditions, floodlights, and overall security at Dashrath Stadium.
The match will now take place at Prince Mohammad bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, at 7 PM local time (9:45 PM NST) on June 6, according to the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA).
