For instance, a child wakes up in the middle of the night and cries in the darkness. [break] Then the mother offers comfort. Or when two businessmen have fallen out and they unite to promote their fledgling partnership; or when a pair of lovers is bickering over a minor issue, and they vow to resolve it.
Words of comfort play a big part in any relationship, and form the basis of a give-and-take mutuality. If these are missing, then troubles loom large to indicate signs of the times. Because so much depends on it, the way in which it’s dealt with assumes significance. It has a bearing on how it reenergizes the quest for friendship, empathy and need for assurance.
Not knowing how to proceed can be a problem by itself, and not to be taken too lightly. But once one gets going, there’s no holding back as far as an outpouring of solace is concerned. Thus, it earmarks a need to vent one’s pent-up emotions, and defines on how much it connects on a personal level.
Nothing’s spared when it comes to patch up and partake of a relationship gone sour. This may come as a surprise to many, but it has an element of truth in it. Whenever the subject of a liaison crops up, there are bound to be those ready to reject its implications. However, much it’s tried and tested, there’s sure to be someone who doesn’t vouchsafe for it.
Giving too much of an assurance can backfire, and has just the opposite effect to what’s intended. Soliciting helps at this point and proves beneficial because it makes the right impact. Coming to terms with it is bound to be ticklish and touch up sensitive nerves. But hitting the right note may mean opening up, or clamming shut with little to show for the effort.
Because of the spontaneous nature, assurance can catch one by surprise. Although it can have a soporific effect and lull a hint of suspicion. This can offset the need to succor and leave one at a loss for words. So there’s nothing wrong about moving in a predestined direction.
Any response to an assurance is welcome so long as it doesn’t infringe upon private space. Judging it by a yardstick is a heady experience, and cause for hope and redemption.
For any assurance to be effective, a line of demarcation is needed. This takes the form of a sustained bid as and when it becomes necessary. It’s important to have a close and supporting system that makes this possible, without going back on one’s word and not doing anything that’s likely to have adverse effects on the ongoing process.
