Women's U-19 Asia Cup: Nepal and Sri Lanka share points

KATHMANDU, Dec 19: The Super 4 match between Nepal and Sri Lanka in the ongoing Women's U-19 Asia Cup in Malaysia was called off due to rain.


Nepal, having won the toss, chose to field first. The match was interrupted by rain after just one over, during which Nepal managed to take one Sri Lankan wicket. As the rain persisted, the match was abandoned, and both teams were awarded one point each.

Nepal had earlier secured a spot in the Super 4 by defeating Pakistan by six wickets. Their last group-stage match against India was also affected by rain, leading to both teams sharing a point.


The Super 4 lineup includes Nepal, India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. Nepal's next match is scheduled against Bangladesh on Friday.
