Nepal, the runners up of women´s football in the last edition of South Asian Games (SAG, the 11th SAG) has been pitted against Pakistan, Afghanistan and Maldives in group B in the event contested by eight nations. [break]
Nepal will play against Maldives in the opener on December 12 and take on Afghanistan on December 14. Two days later they will take on Pakistan. The top two teams of each group will qualify for the semifinals.
All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) Development Director Sanjeev Mishra is the head of the Nepali squad while Dhruba KC and Kumar Katawal are the coaches. Saraswoti Shrestha, Santosh Thapamagar and Amar Bhujel are the officials. The team is also accompanied by women referee Kalpana Sharma.
Jamuna Gurung is the captain of the 18 member women team while Anu Lama, Bhagawati Thapa, Tulasa Singh, Laxmi Paudel, Sajana Ranamagar, Deepa Adhikari, Pramila Rai, Mira Maharjan, Deepa Chhetri, Chandra Bhandari, Chandra Bhandari, Namita Dali, Renuka Nagarkoti, Niru Thapa, Bal Kumari Magar, Rajana Darji, USha Bhandari and Chandra Devi Dahal are the members of the team.
