BHARATPUR, Jan 6: A woman was stung to death by a swarm of wild bees in eastern Chitwan on Sunday afternoon. The deceased has been identified as Thagiya Tharuni, 76, of Beltandi, Ratnanagar municipality-9.

A swarm of bees suddenly approached her while she was at her home, biting her and leaving severely injured. Though she was immediately rushed to the Chitwan Medical College Bharatpur, she died amidst the treatment, the Chitwan Police confirmed. The body has been kept at the Bharatpur Hospital for post-mortem examinations.
