LAHAN, May 7: A woman was killed when a motor vehicle (Hiace) hit a bicycle at Kasaha Chowk of Dhangadhimai Municipality-5 in Siraha along the east-west highway last night. Bilti Gadauri, 55, of Golbazar Municipality-12 in the district who was severely injured in the accident breathed her last on the way to a hospital in Lahan. She was a pillion rider on a bicycle riding by her spouse Ram Udgar Gadauri, 59, at the time, the District Police Office, Siraha confirmed. The man, left severely hurt in the accident, is undergoing treatment at the Lahan-based Kamana Nursing Home. Police have arrested driver Kishor Chapagain, 28, of Buddhashanti Rural Municipality-1, Jhapa and further investigations into the case are underway. RSS
