KATHMANDU, Aug. 6: A woman was killed and six others were injured after a passenger bus crashed into the Gwarko overpass in Lalitpur on Thursday morning.
The passenger bus (Ba 2 Kha 3590), which was en route from Koteshwor to Gwarko, slammed into the overpass at around 10:30 AM, according to the Lalitpur District Police Range.

Police said the deceased was an approximately 40-year-old woman, whose identity has yet to be established.
The six injured passengers were rushed to B & B Hospital for treatment. Their conditions are yet to be disclosed.
Police have taken the bus driver into custody and launched an investigation into the cause of the crash.
The preliminary police investigation showed that the accident was caused due to overspeeding.
