The woman has been identified as Soniya Devi of Pipra Pokhariya VDC-3, Rautahat, SP Govinda Pariyar, In-charge of Rautahat District Police Office, told Republica on telephone. [break]
A police team under the command of SP Pariyar has already reached the incident site. They have taken hold of two suspects in connection with the incident.
A preliminary investigation shows that Soniya has been stabbed to death with a sharp weapon.
A further investigation is underway.
