Woman dies after house crumbles down

KATHMANDU, Sept 26: One woman died on the spot after her house crumbled down due to incessant rainfall in Narjamandap VDC of Nuwakot on Sunday night.



The deceased has been identified as Sita Rijal, 55 of Pauvathok, Narjamandap VDC-7. [break]



Her husband Dilli Prasad and their daughter Goma, severely injured in the incident, are currently undergoing treatment at the district hospital, Trishuli, informed the police. The two-storey house suddenly collapsed at night, destroying all the food grains.



Meanwhile, Janakpur municipality has been inundated due to continuous rainfall while all the buildings in the area are flooded with rain water.



Locals of the area are facing difficulty trying to get along with their lives as the roads are inundated with 2-3 feet of water. The area is also facing power cuts.
