KATHMANDU, June 27: With 554 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours, Nepal's Covid-19 tally climbed to 12,309.
At a daily press briefing on Covid-19, Health Ministry spokesperson Jageshwar Gautam said that 434 males and 120 females tested positive for Covid-19 during tests conducted at various 22 health labs across the country in the past 24 hours.

"Of the total COVID-19 infected patients as of today, 10940 are males and 1369 are females," Gautam said. According to him, Nepal's all 77 districts have been hit by the Covid-19 pandemic. The government has also expanded the scope of Covid-19 test keeping in mind the rising coronavirus cases, he said.
"In the past 24 hours, 46,06 persons underwent Covi-19 tests through PCR method while 36,85 persons were tested for coronavirus through RDT method," the spokesperson said. As of today, 2, 10,876 persons underwent Covid-19 tests through PCR method while 2,94,34 persons underwent tests through RDT method.
