KATHMANDU, March16: England´s bid to regain momentum after last week´s Test series defeat hit the buffers as West Indies defeated it by six wickets with two overs to spare in the T20 match played in Port of Spain on Sunday. [break]

According to cricinfo.com, England was bowled out for 121 in 19.1 overs, with Sulieman Benn once again picking up three wickets in an exemplary spell, before Ramnaresh Sarwan led the run-chase in front with 59 from 46 balls. The hosts´ excellent bowling and fielding restricted England to a modest 121 in 19.1 overs before Ramnaresh Sarwan´s 59 put them in control and set up victory with two overs to spare.

England opener Steve Davies scored a solid 27 but after Kevin Pietersen was unluckily given out lbw and captain Andrew Strauss was brilliantly run out by Shivnarine Chanderpaul, England´s batting unraveled fast.

The West Indies coped comfortably with England´s mediocre bowling which never threatened to force a result despite the early dismissal of Andre Fletcher.

England, who lost the test series 1-0, continues its tour with the first of five one-day internationals in Guyana on March 20.
