KATHMANDU, Dec 1: The newly-appointed Dean at the Institute of Medicine (IoM), Dr KP Singh has said that he will resign after the government appoints a new Dean as per the new criteria.
Claiming that he was appointed on the basis of seniority, Singh said that he has proposed a middle path to provide an outlet to the appointment row.
Singh reiterated that he will quit after a Dean is picked according to a new criteria as mandated by the meeting of Departmental Chiefs.
Few days ago, Tribhuvan University (TU) had formed a committee led by former IoM Dean Ramesh Kanta Adhikari to prepare criteria for appointing a Dean at IoM.
The committee has submitted its report today.
