Wild food consumption takes toll in Palpa

RAMPUR (Palpa), May 8: Four members of a family grew illness after consuming spurious wild food items in Palpa district.

They were taken ill after consuming poisonous wild food considering it an indigenous food, Vyakur. The family members have been admitted to the Rampur Hospital for treatment.


Among those developing illness after eating wild food items are Chhamkala Adhikari, 61, Dayaram Adhikari, 47, Bhagawati Adhikari, 45, and Sunita Adhikari, 18, of Kumaldhik.

The patients however are out of danger and they are seeing steady improvement in their health, informed Dr Ashok Aryal of the hospital. RSS
