KATHMANDU, May 8: A wide-body aircraft of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) is flying to Beijing, China on Monday to bring the much-needed health equipment and oxygen cylinders.
The wide-body, A 330 of the NAC, will fly to Beijing to get oxygen and ventilators provided on a grant by the Chinese government, according to the NAC.
The national flag carrier will be bringing 400 units of oxygen cylinders and 20 units of ventilators. The flight is scheduled to take off for Beijing at 11:30 AM on Monday and will arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport at 2:35 PM on Tuesday.
The NAC is sending a wide-body to Beijing, China to get oxygen and ventilators at the request of the Ministry of Health and Population, said Dim Prakash Poudel, the General Manager of the NAC.
Likewise, the Chinese government is providing 20,000 oxygen cylinders to Nepal as a support to combat the second wave of COVID-19.
