KATHMANDU, Aug 9: Nepa Hima Pvt Ltd, the authorized distributor of Whirlpool has launched a new series of water purifiers, European washing machines, and refrigerators in the Nepali market. The new model of water purifiers, 'PURATRON' was launched at an event organized in Lalitpur on Tuesday.


The model has a unique EAT (electro-adsorption technology) which removes most impurities in water. “The water in the purifier goes through 7-stage purification system which uses four filtration technologies with a physical filter.  It retains essential minerals even after the purification process,” the company said, issuing a statement.

The unique feature of the purifier is that it does not result in water wastage, an advantage of expensive reverse osmosis system, the statement said.


Rajesh Tuladhar, executive director of Nepa Hima Trade Link; Indranil Sinha, regional director of Asia Pacific Region; and Amit Srivastava, country manager of International Business and Export jointly unveiled the products.


The price of the new series of water purifiers ranges from Rs 19,000 to Rs 30,000 while the company is selling washing machines for the price ranging from Rs 76,000 to Rs 90,000.
