KATHMANDU, Oct 10: A dental surgeon Dr Sushil Koirala has suggested three elements for a person to look attractive.  

In an interview with www.myrepublica.com, Dr. Koirala said, "Sound health, regular physical features and cheerfulness essential for a person to look attractive."

Saying that it is natural to get attracted to opposite sex, Dr. Koirala said," A man is attracted to a woman especially by her physical beauty. However, it does not apply in the case of women. They are attracted to men by their inner qualities – tolerance, courage, intelligence, security and care."

He stated that the role of teeth plays a vital role in aesthetics.  Koirala, who has already conducted several types of research on a smile, said that oriental philosophy has classified smiles into 12 different types while it has limited classifications in the western world.

According to Koirala, the westerners have fake smiles. The smile without cheerfulness in the eye is fake.

 "The women are more cautious about their beauty compared to men, Koirala said, adding, "We should appreciate beauty positively without harboring any evil intention toward it."
