The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology reported that a mild cold wave affected the eastern regions of Madhesh Province and the Terai areas of Koshi Province on Saturday morning. At the same time, dense fog/mist was prevalent in many other parts of the Terai.

For Saturday afternoon, the department forecasts partial clouds over the hilly areas of Koshi Province, while the weather will remain mostly clear in other regions.
During the night, partial clouds are expected in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces, while the weather will remain clear in the rest of the regions.
Over the next 24 hours, mild cold waves will persist in the eastern parts of Madhesh Province (Saptari) and the Terai areas of Koshi Province (Jhapa, Morang, and Sunsari). Dense fog/mist is likely in many other parts of the Terai. The department has urged necessary precautions, as these conditions may affect daily life, agriculture, education, health, transportation, and air travel.
