KATHMANDU, July 14: The weather will be partly to generally cloudy today due to the influence of monsoon wind. Similarly, light to moderate rainfall is likely at most places due to this.
Meteorologist Nirajan Sapkota said that most places in the country would experience partly to fully cloudy weather on Thursday and Friday due to the impact of monsoon wind. There is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall, he added.
The monsoon will be more active from the coming Sunday and heavy rainfall will take place in the western part of the country and light to moderate rain in other parts, he added.
Light rain showers predicted across the country today
Some places of Province 1, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces have been witnessing light to moderate rain.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the weather across the country has remained generally to fully cloudy and light to moderate rainfall has been predicted in most places.
There is a possibility of heavy rain along with thunder at some places of Lumbini and Gandaki provinces on Friday.
As per the weather update of the Meteorological Forecasting Division, 9.5 millimeters of rainfall was recorded in the Kathmandu Valley today.
