KATHMANDU, Aug 21: The Meteorological Forecasting Division has predicted light to heavy rainfall in the afternoon and evening on Friday.
The division said that light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at some places of the country in the afternoon. The weather is likely to be partly cloudy to generally cloudy.

Similarly, the division has forecast light to moderate rainfall in some places with thunder and lightning on Friday night. The weather will remain generally cloudy throughout the country.
There are chances of heavy rainfall at one or two places of Province 1, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, Karnali Province and Sudur Paschim Province, according to the weather bulletin issued by the division earlier on Thursday morning.
In the advisory for the next 24 hours, the people have been urged to stay on alert as there are risks of flood, landslide and soil erosion due to downpour in Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, Sudur Paschim provinces and Province 1.
