BIRATNAGAR, Jan 12: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Dr Shekhar Koirala has said that he has given a vote of confidence to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal in view of the presidential and vice presidential elections.
Talking to reporters in Biratnagar on Thursday, he said that the elections are still pending and he has given a vote of confidence to the Prime Minister in view of those elections.

“I am not talking about the Speaker and Deputy Speaker, other elections are also pending. We will be candidates in those elections,” he said, “in the election of the president, vice president, the parliamentarians of the province also vote, considering all this, we casted our vote.”
Leader Koirala said that there is no guarantee that the Maoists will support the NC candidate in those elections, but the party can hope for votes.
Leader Koirala said that they will stay in the opposition and play a role based on the merits and demerits of the government.
