Wasp sting kills two children in Palpa

PALPA, Oct 18: Two children have been killed after getting stung by wasps in Hastichaur, Gulmi on Wednesday night.



Kul Bahadur Kumal´s daughter Krishna, 10 and Raina Bahadur Kumal´s daughter Sajina, 4, of Ratchaur, Hastichaur-7 have been killed, informed police. [break]



Sajina died while being rushed to district hospital in Tamghas and Krishna breathed her last after receiving preliminary treatment in Tamghas and on her way to Palpa for further treatment, DSP Raj Kumar Baidbar said.



Kul Bahadur´s another daughter Kusma, 3, who was also stung by the wasps is undergoing treatment at United Mission Hospital in Palpa.



Similarly, Raina Bahadur´s wife Sarswati and 11-month-old son Ranjit are being treated in district hospital, Tamghas, informed District Police Office, Gulmi.



The incident took place when they went to pick Guavas, family source said.
