KATHMANDU, Oct 31: The local people's representatives of Janakpurdham have protested against the mayor of the sub-metropolis, Lal Kishor Shah, by throwing garbage in front of his house. Similarly, some ward chairpersons have even warned Mayor Shah that they would smear black soot on his face as he has not shown any interest in proper waste management in the sub-metropolis even in the festival season.
The chairpersons of ward 1, 3, 4 and 7, Shatrudhan Shah, Dipendra Shah, Sudarshan Singh and Janakiram Sahal, respectively, have also staged a sit-in in front of the Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolitan Office.
