BIMSTEC SUMMIT-2018

KATHMANDU, Aug 29: As Kathmandu is all set to hold the 14th summit of Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) on Thursday and Friday, the head of states and executive heads of member state have started arriving in the capital.
The security of the capital has been beefed up. Major roads in the valley are disrupted during the carcade of the dignitaries. All the heads of the states and governments will be residing at Hotel Soaltee Crown Plaza which is also the venue for the summit and pre-summit meetings. The road sections from Tribhuvan International Airport till Hotel Soaltee Crown Plaza are cordoned-off for the public movement because of which the public heading for the destination has to suffer.
